The Starship Enterprise, NCC 1701 D was a vessel of legendary status. At least it used to be. It had served for nearly Seven Years and had seen plenty of action and first contacts. One of its most deadly encounters was at System J25 when the being known simply as 'Q' had thrown the ship forward and they had encountered The Borg.

Mikoto had taken some of her time to read up on the Enterprises logs and history. She thought it might find some relevance, plus she would like to see what a ship of the same class of the Ermiana could do.

The Enterprise had been a ship that seemed to attract trouble. The Federations ex-flagship had been missing from the Battle of Wolf 359, where Mikoto had seen thousands of her fellow officers slaughtered by Locutus of Borg, formerly Captain Jean-Luc Picard. That day always brought back painful memories for her and she couldn't possibly imagine how Picard dealt with them. A shudder of fear ran down the back of her neck as she read Doctor Crushers report on Borg Assimilation.

Finally she got to the logs and reports she wanted. The incident in the Amagosa and Veridian Systems. It was well known that the Galaxy Class had gone down after being attacked by a Klingon Bird of Prey. Mikoto was interested in how a old ship, lightly armed compared to the Enterprise had managed to damage the Federations Flagship so badly that it caused such a crash.

What she found made her wonder about the integrity of the Galaxy Class in its whole. The Klingons had managed to gain access to the Enterprises shield frequencies. With that their torpedoes and disruptors hit essential areas causing a warp core breach. Luckily the Enterprise hadn't ejected its warp core in orbit as that would have damaged the planets ecosystem for possibly thousands of years.

"Wait a second..." Mikoto said to herself as she came across a classified section. Something had been classified and covered up. However, she could only access it with her personal code.

Her eyes opened wide at what she found. She couldn't believe what she was reading. It almost seened like a joke to her, but it was signed and verified by Captain Picard and the Admiralty. One name, stood out.

Captain James T Kirk.

He was buried on Veridian Three after assisting Captain Picard stop a man called Soren from destroying the Veridian Star. There was a ribbon of energy which contained a unknown realm called 'The Nexus' in which he was attempting to get back to. Picard had somehow entered this realm, discovered the Captain of the Enterprise NCC 1701, originally thought lost aboard the Enterprise NCC 1701 B and convinced him to come back to help him.

It had cost the loss of the Enterprise and Kirks life, however millions of lives had been saved. Mikoto sat back in her chair. "Well, this makes it interesting" she said to herself. She could see why Starfleet would classify this information. Such a famous Starfleet Name coming up at something like this would always attract people.

"Computer. Download all the official reports to ny PADD" she said. This would make some good bedtime reading.
