The USS Rising Sun NCC-65517 is a New Orleans Class Starship built and operated by Starfleet. It is the second ship to bear the name 'Rising Sun'. Built and launched from the San Francisco Fleet Yards in 2343, the USS Rising Sun is currently under the command of Captain Isuzu Sento.

Construction & Launch

The USS Rising Sun was built at the San Francisco Fleet Yards and launched in 2343. The ship was amongst the first of the New Orleans Class starships to be launched alongside the prototype USS New Orleans and USS Kyushu. The Rising Sun was originally assigned administrative duties along the Romulan Neutral Zone.
